CD Projekt Red hope to return the trust of fans with the release of Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty

The release of the game Cyberpunk 2077 caused a reverse reaction in the gaming industry, since CD Projekt Red could not properly polish the game. The version for the previous generation was a particular problem, but the studio has gone a long way and wants to improve relations with the players.

Gamesindustry editors.BIZ talked with Mikhal Platkov-Gilevski, vice president of CD Projekt for PR and communications, who spoke about the long path of the company from the moment Cyberpunk 2077 to the presentation of Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty.

CD Projekt Red is now "on high", But the path was uneven, and the developers quickly realized that they needed "work hard to return" In the right place.

The developers began to work on the optimization of their project, while developing the first addition. CD Projekt Red at this moment also needed to be properly contacting your community:

Personally, I was dissatisfied with how everything turned out. I did not expect this. I immediately realized that we should return. I liked the place in which we were. I’m not talking about the top, but two years before we had our community, we liked them, we liked them, it was great to work in CD Projekt Red.

The developers also intend to significantly improve their relations with fans, and it is the release of Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty should become "new beginning" for all:

After the launch it was hard, but I knew that we had the same people. Players are the same. We just need to establish our relationship. The only thing we really can do is just give everything we are capable of. I feel that we will be able to do this soon, and I hope that this will be a new beginning for everyone.

In an interview with Gamesindustry.Biz Mikhal Platkov-Gilevski confirmed what a long way had to go CD Projekt, faced with crowds, remote work and many internal crises at the same time. However, the developers fought together to improve Cyberpunk and offer the players the game at the proper, high level.

The most important thing was to get up and say: "We must do it". Yes, we expected another Cyberpunk launch, but now we have opened a different opportunity. For me, as for a person engaged in communications, I want to restore communication with the players, because people followed us for years and were disappointed. This is the most important for me. We must make this game for them.
